The flowers open and grow. They are fertilized and become grapes. Berries are formed, fed and quickly gain weight and change their color. The spring work has optimize the development of ripening grapes, but the work in the vineyard is not finished. One must also:
- Till the soil
- Remove the leaves: in other words, eliminate the leaves near the grapes in order to increase their sunlight and ventilation but also improve the maturation and prevent diseases.
- "Green harvest": cut the grapes and avoid overload so that the remaining bunches ripen in the best conditions.
- Observe and regularly analyze the ripening of the grapes to choose the best harvest date for each parcel.
